When signing in to websites or apps Minimalist recommends only passwords associated with that website or app. This helps protect you from "phishing" sites where an imposter attempts to get your password by mimicking a website you trust. Minimalist is not fooled by these websites and will not recommend the passwords.

We don't want to see your browser content or browsing history, period. That's why Minimalist supports Apple's AutoFill system rather than use a custom browser extension.

In order for browser extensions to fill passwords they need permission to read and alter every webpage you visit, and also see all your browsing history.

Minimalist on the other hand cannot see anything that happens in your web browser. Instead Minimalist tells Apple's AutoFill system which logins you have, you select a login, and Minimalist provides the password. It's simple, secure, and completely private.
